CRAFTS and COOKBOOKS 50% SALE! begins November 1.
Our stores carry a wide variety of hardback and paperback books - both fiction and non-fiction, DVD movies, music CDs, audiobooks, and more:
Our success has always been due to the generous donations of books from the community and the work of our dedicated volunteers. Our stock changes as new donations come in. Proceeds from sales at our two stores go to the libraries to provide more books, extra services, materials, equipment, and programs.
Our start: In the early 1990’s we realized that there was a need for a little store where we could store, sort and sell all the used books donated to the library. Temecula Valley citizens contributed a substantial sum towards the construction of the bookstore that was opened in April of 1994. It was a success from the beginning!
Our bookstore was so successful that when Temecula’s new library facility was planned, naturally a second bookstore was included. In December 2006, the FOTL officially became the Friends of the Temecula Libraries, and our second bookstore was opened.
Ready to downsize your collection of books? Share with others by donating your gently used books to the FOTL Bookstores. Proceeds from their sale go to Friends of the Temecula Libraries to support the library programs and materials.
We accept books, dvds, CDs, audiobooks and games in good condition. We do not accept magazines, encyclopedias, VHS or cassette tapes, nor Reader's Digest Condensed books.
When you are ready to donate, please call in advance to be sure that we have room to accept it.
